It's Independence Day in the US this week. Boston has lots of nighttime fireworks. In the past we went to parties late into the evening.

Aware

Aphasia is an impairment of language and communication. I had it severely right after my stroke.

Party

Soon after my brain surgery, I snuck out of the hospital to go to a party.

Frustration

True frustration is when language leaves.

Phone Call

My words after my stroke were very odd. At the hospital, I meant to say "phone call." I said "fingernail."

Sling

Some parents carry around their kids in bjorny-slingy-papoosy things.

Hair

Baby likes to grab my hair, so I've started to grow it long and put it up in a ponytail.
