Neatly Sliced Bureaucracy
Friday, 12 November 2010
In 3-holed-binders sits neatly sliced bureaucracy: forms from the health insurance company, forms from hospitals, forms from my doctors, forms from pharmacists, forms from the government… Practically every moment in my medical day has been chronicled on white pages covered with tight black ink. The binders take up three large bookshelves in my living room. Elegant.

I’m impressed at your organizing skills. My “files” consist of a couple of cardboard boxes with everything just thrown in there. Hope I never have to look for anything!

Hi Nina-
You should see the hard copy of my chart. After three months of hospitalization, it got to be enormous.
Best regards,

I have everything scanned and in my laptop. My son bought it for me while I was in the hospital so I could write down stuff I didn’t want to forget.
