At the hospital where I was an inpatient, they were worried about my circulation and leg clots, since I was mostly prone. They had me wearing elastic thigh-highs. These were not sexy. The medical stockings were white, with a horizontal weave that made me look like a mummy. I was so skinny that they wouldn’t stay up and bunched up around my knees.
